General

  • Does HERE Maps for mobile web have the same features as HERE for my PC?

HERE Maps is a service that brings HERE to all mobile devices, regardless of operating system (OS). You can use HERE Maps with the web browser in your touchscreen phone, tablet or personal computer, as long as your OS can handle HTML5 technology (for example, iOS 4.3+, Android 2.2 or 2.3, or Blackberry 6.0+).

HERE Maps has many but not all the same features as HERE for PC, and we’re always adding new ones.

  • What is HERE Maps for mobile web?

Find the places you’re looking for - or recommended ones nearby - and get directions to them with HERE Maps for mobile web.

    With HERE Maps, you can:

    • Search for addresses, places and services
    • See places listed by categories
    • Get directions on foot, by car or public transport
    • Use step-by-step voice navigation when walking
    • Collect places that matter to you, organise and sync them with here.com and take them with you on the go
    • Share places on social networks or by email or text

You can use HERE Maps with a web browser that works with HTML5 technology by going to here.com. You can also download the app from Apple App Store. HERE Maps is free of charge. To use the service on your touch-screen phone or tablet, your device's browser must be able to handle HTML5 (for example, iOS 4.3+, Android 2.2 or 2.3, or Blackberry 6.0+).

Using services may require transmission of large amounts of data and involve sending of location information. We recommend using Wi-Fi or WLAN when available.

All the features may not always be available or accurate. Your first consideration while using the service in traffic has to be safety.
