  • What is HERE Maps for mobile web?

Find the places you're looking for - or recommended ones nearby - and get directions to them with HERE Maps for mobile web.

    With HERE Maps, you can:

    • Search for addresses, places and services
    • See places listed by categories
    • Get directions on foot, by car or public transport
    • Use step-by-step voice navigation when walking
    • Collect places that matter to you, organise and sync them with here.com and take them with you on the go
    • Share places on social networks or by email or text

You can use HERE Maps with a web browser that works with HTML5 technology by going to here.com. To use the service on your touch-screen phone or tablet, your device's browser must be able to handle HTML5 (for example, iOS 4.3+, Android 2.2 or 2.3, or Blackberry 6.0+).

Using services may require transmission of large amounts of data and involve sending of location information. We recommend using Wi-Fi or WLAN when available.

All the features may not always be available or accurate. Your first consideration while using the service in traffic has to be safety.

  • How do I report a problem on HERE Maps for mobile web?

    1. Tap the 'menu' icon next to the search bar.
    2. Choose Feedback and give us as much detail about the problem as possible.

  • Will HERE Maps for mobile web work on my phone or tablet?

To use the service on your smartphone or tablet, your device must be running iOS 4.3+, Android 2.2 or 2.3, or Blackberry 6.0+. We may have versions of HERE Maps that work on other platforms and versions in the future.

You can also use here.com on a Microsoft Windows PC or an Intel-based Apple Macintosh with Safari, Firefox or Google Chrome.

  • Does HERE Maps for mobile web have the same features as HERE for my PC?

HERE Maps is a service that brings HERE to all mobile devices, regardless of operating system (OS). You can use HERE Maps with the web browser in your touchscreen phone, tablet or personal computer, as long as your OS can handle HTML5 technology (for example, iOS 4.3+, Android 2.2 or 2.3, or Blackberry 6.0+).

HERE Maps has many but not all the same features as HERE for PC, and we're always adding new ones.

  • Can HERE Maps for mobile web show me my location when I'm not connected to the internet?

Yes, if your device has a GPS sensor and you're located within the map area you currently have saved in your device, then your correct location will be shown.

  • HERE Maps for mobile web is available in which languages?

At the moment, HERE Maps for mobile web is available in English, Spanish (Latin America) and Portuguese (Brazil).

  • Where can I report incorrect info that I see on HERE Maps?

If the incorrect information is to do with street names or landmarks, you can use HERE Map Creator on here.com to report the problems. First go to the place on the map where you want to report the problem. Then right-click and choose Report map changes from the menu. Finally, choose the type of problem or change you'd like to make, giving as much detail as you can.

To report problems with a public place, select More details in the info box pointing to the place on the map. Then select Report this place and follow the instructions.

  • Some of my personal details appeared on here.com, but I didn't put them there. How do I remove them?

Go to the place listing on here.com where your info appears and click More details > Report this place. Be sure to mention in the report that your identity or privacy were being compromised.

  • I have seen incorrect, duplicate, missing or out-of-date information for a Place. What can I do?

Shops and restaurants sometimes move or, sadly, go out of business. If you come across incorrect or missing info, please tell us. You can also suggest additional details, such as contact info or the web address of a place, so others can find out more about it, too.

To report problems with a Place, select More details in the information box pointing to the Place on the map. Then select Report this place and follow the instructions. We double-check all proposed changes to Place information, so you may not see yours right away.
