How can I switch between map views in HERE Maps for Windows Phone?
Tap the map options icon in the bottom-right of the map (it looks like two diamonds). You can choose to see a normal map, satellite view or LiveSight view. In the map features you can select pedestrian, public transport or traffic views.
How do I make the map turn to show the direction I'm facing in HERE Maps?
With HERE Maps, it's possible to show north at the top of the screen or for the map to orientate itself according to the way you're facing. HERE Maps defaults to showing north at the top of the screen. To change it to show the way you're facing instead, tap the My location icon (the green circle) in the bottom-left corner of HERE Maps. A compass will appear in the top left of your screen to show you where north is. If prompted to set the compass, rotate your phone as instructed.
To make north the top of the screen again, tap the My location icon again or tap the compass icon.
How can I change the language on the map in my Windows Phone 8?
The language used in the map depends on the language set in your phone. If, for example, you want street names to be displayed in Mandarin, the language of your phone would need to be changed to Mandarin.
Go to your phone settings and tap language + region. Go to Browser & search language and choose the language you want. You may then need to download the map again.
Why don't I have the LiveSight option available in HERE Maps, HERE Drive or HERE Transit on my Lumia 520, 521, 525, 526 or 625?
The LiveSight feature in HERE map views is not available on Lumia 520, 521, 525, 526 or 625 because these phones don't have a magnetometer (compass). LiveSight works only on phones that have a compass.
The satellite maps in HERE Maps sometimes look quite blurry. Is there something I can do?
Unfortunately, no. But rest assured, we are always working to improve the quality of our satellite views.
